WHALEN (Biddiscombe), Laura Isabelle – Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family on September 13, 2011, Laura Isabelle Whalen of Sherwood Park, Alberta, age 77 years (formerly of Logy Bay Road, NL). Predeceased by parents Gerald and Rebecca Biddiscombe and brothers Maxwell and Thomas. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 38 years, Orley Whalen; son, Geoffrey Biddiscombe (Theresa); grandchildren: Erin and Adam; brothers: Victor (Shirley), Joe (Camilla), Doug (Roma), Harry (Judy); sisters: Lucy (Doug), Dallas (John), Bonnie (Garry); and a large circle of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service Monday September 19, 2011, at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Sherwood Park, Alberta, at 11 a.m. No flowers by request.
