STICKLAND, Elizabeth (Betty) Spencer (nee Chapman) - of Mount Pearl, formerly of Rencontre West, passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Betty Stickland aged 80 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Julia; brothers: James, John and William; and sister: Bertha Rose. Leaving to mourn are her loving and devoted husband of 56 years; Sam; daughters: Sheila Stickland (Sheri McConnell) and Linda Harty (Claude); son: David (Sheila Graham); granddaughters: Caitlin Harty and Delphine Stickland and sister: Ethel Pelley as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Monday, Dec. 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Church of the Ascension on Tuesday, Dec. 9th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
