CORMIER, IMELDA - 1920 - 2011 - Imelda Cormier, 90, of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Monday September 19th, 2011. She was married to the late Amédée Cormier (2000). Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on November 11th, 1920, she was the daughter Frederick and Elise (Léger) LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by her three children; Stella Clavel (Gabriel) of Ottawa, Delphis and Aldérice (Elida) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, her seven grandchildren; Jacques, Jacqueline, Denis, Anne Charline,
Natalie and Stéphanie, and six great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters; Cécile Bastarache of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jeanne Bastarache of Saint-Maurice de Kent, Aline Cormier of Bouctouche, two brothers, Ulysse (Stella) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Normand (Léona) of Saint-Paul and several nephews and nieces. Imelda was predeceased by two sisters, Irène and Anna and two brothers Eric and Edgar.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Tuesday, September 20th, from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Imelda’s memory donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
