Agnes Melanson
MELANSON, AGNES - Agnes Melanson, 81, of Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Monday, September 19, 2011. Born on February 15, 1930 in Saint-Philippe, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Eva (Cormier) Caissie. Agnes loved life! She was a very compassionate caregiver to family and friends. She had a profound love of music and enjoyed meeting and making new friends. She is survived by one daughter: Aline Farrell (Vincent) of Moncton; three sisters: Corinne LeBlanc (Arthur) of Cap-Bimet, Léonie Arsenault (Laurent) of Dieppe and Jeannette LeBlanc (Normand) of Hamilton, ON; two grandsons: Gérard and Bernard Dupuis; two great grandchildren: Patrick and Chelsie, many nieces and nephews, as well as a special friend, Walter Kenny of Dieppe. She was predeceased by her husband, Gérard (1966), her partner of 36 years, Léo-Paul Dupuis; one daughter, Annette (1971) and two infant sons: Ernest and Joseph; 11 sisters: Rosanne, Suzanne, Anna, Elizabeth, Eveline, Marie, Adéline, Eva, Germaine, Florence and Aline; eight brothers: Willie, Tim, George, Lévis, Eddée, Henri, Léandre and Arthur.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday September 21, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at Frenette Funeral Home on Thursday September 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Saint-Philippe parish cemetery.
