Surrounded by her loving and heartbroken family in the dawn of the morning on Sunday, September 18, 2011, our precious Mom and Grandma completed a lengthy journey and departed our family, Bernadette Margaret Murphy (nee Sears), age 77 years, was welcomed into the loving arms of God where she carried the unending love, admiration and gratitude of her six children: Bryan (Colleen) Murphy, Alana (Mike) Reardon, Karen (Terry) O’Leary, and triplet daughters: Jennifer (Larry) Vaters, Jo-Ann Harvey and Janet (Sean) Wells. Predeceased by their father Harold Murphy. A constant source of joy, her grandchildren: Kayla and Nicholas Murphy, Timothy and Vanessa O’Leary, Katie Wells and Victoria and Andrew Vaters. Also predeceased by her mother Mildred Skinner and her father William Sears. Also leaving to mourn: sister Catherine Reeves; brother James Sears and half brother Gerald Skinner; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close lifelong friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Monday, Sept. 19 and Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 12-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Parish on Waterford Bridge Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in her name to the Corpus Christi St. Vincent De Paul Society.
