GOULET, Rossalyne Yvonne — 69, of Ellershouse, Hants County, passed away on Thursday, September 8th, 2011 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on January 28th, 1942 in Windsor, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Mary (Ward) McKee. Rose was a friendly, compassionate woman, never ceasing to charm loved ones or complete strangers with her gentle humour and the sparkle she carried in her eye. She was an avid knitter and seamstress, who was usually confronted when something needed to be mended, as there was next to nothing she could not fix with a sewing machine. Throughout her illness, Rose continued to knit, creating items such as baby blankets. She was a fighter, and didn’t let the irritation of living with medical issues stop her from doing what she loved. Aside from her passion for sewing and knitting, Rose loved to go camping and travelling with her family. Throughout her summers, she enjoyed heading to Cap Pele, New Brunswick, to relax and soak up the sun’s rays from her camp chair. Surviving are her husband, Yvan; daughters, Micheline (Joseph) Kerekes, Waterville, Kings County; Gina Goulet, Stewiacke; son, Richard (Dawn), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Kristian and Julian Kerekes, Amelia Goulet, Brittany and Alexa Goulet,; brothers, Clifford McKee (Bertha ); nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant son, Bobby. Cremation had taken place under the direction of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Visitation was 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th, 2011 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home. Memorial mass was held 11 a.m. Monday, September 12th, 2011 in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 339 King Street, Windsor. Rev. Michael Walsh officiated. Interment was in St. John’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Wiley Avenue, Windsor. Donations in memory were requested to be made to a charity of one’s choice.
