MacIntyre, Dexter Allan, 72, of Truro, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born In Truro, he was a son of the late Stanley Gordon and Doris (Davidson) McIntyre. Dexter was a former employee of the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission in Truro. He is survived by sons, Christopher (Angie), Onslow Mountain; Timothy (Kelly), Regina; brother, Gerald, Windsor, ON; grandchildren, Ryan Christopher, Hilary Jane, Nathan. He was predeceased by his wife the former Sandra Jane Kell; brother, Bill. The family would like to express their most gracious thanks to Dr Tanya Munroe for her care and dedication to Dexter , to the staff of Colchester VON and Continuing Care for their care and support to Dexter in his later years. Also special thanks to the staff of the East Prince Sobey’s who brightened his days. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Thursday, September 22, and funeral service 2pm Friday, September 23, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, Rev. Gerald Kerr officiating with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment will then be held in the Watson Cemetery, East Prince Street Truro. Family flowers only.
