At Prince County Hospital Summerside on Tuesday Sept. 20, 2011 of Greta Margaret Grigg, Northam, aged 90 years, wife of the late Graydon Grigg. Born in Port Hill on Jan. 1, 1921 daughter of the late Angus and Eva (MacLean) MacLennan. Dear mother to Erma Ellis, Tyne Valley; Jean Gallant, Summerside and Ernest (Rowena), Northam. Mother-in-law to Rosalie Grigg, Quispamsis, NB. Cherished grandmother to Steven (Kathy) Ellis, Susan (Michael) Newcombe, Scott (Crissy) Ellis, Shawn (Kristine) Ellis, Stacey (William) Bishop, Michael Gallant, Michelle (Peter) Gallant, Marty (Bonnie) Gallant, Mark (Brenda) Gallant, Melanie Waite, Rachel (Kirk) Noye, Daniel (Melissa) Grigg, Kendall Grigg, Karen (Joel) Grigg, Katie (Barrett) Grigg and Ryan (Jessica) Grigg; 25 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Grace Birch, Charlottetown and brother Heath (Ruth) MacLennan, Port Hill and by sisters in law Joyce MacLennan, Port Hill; Olive Grigg, Tyne Valley; and brother in law Cecil Stewart, Mount Pleasant and special friend Ken Barlow. Predeceased by husband, parents, son Winston, sons in law Burton Ellis and David Gallant, brothers Arnold and Kelvin MacLennan, brothers and sisters in law: Ray Birch, Cyril (Helen) Rodd, Lorne Grigg, Foulton (Mae) Dyment, Bernice Stewart and Bowman (Olive) Milligan, John (Frances) Grigg and grandson William Gallant. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in the Tyne Valley United Church Cemetery. In memory of Greta, donations to Tyne Valley United Church Cemetery or Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated. Due to severe allergies, the family has asked everyone to refrain from using scents.
