Passed peacefully away on September 19, 2011, at the Health Sciences Centre, Lewis George Knight, age 69 years. Born in Moreton’s Harbour, New World Island. Retired Seaman, Marine Atlantic. Predeceased by his parents Dawe and Grace (Taylor) Knight. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bernadine; sons: Lewis Michael (Cherise) and Keith (Natasha); daughters: Yvonne, Susan (special friend Forrest) and Christa (special friend James) and “Papa Lou’s” special grandchildren: Abigail, Connor and Cameron; brother Paul and his family Billy, Debbie and Paula; brothers-in-law: Greg Abbott (Geraldine), Joe Abbott (Shirley), John Abbott (Cindy); sisters-in-law: Mary Murphy (Bob), Geraldine Hunt (Bob), Theresa Cullen (Wayne), Margaret Manning (Joe) and families; many special cousins, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors of the Waterford Hospital, Dialysis Unit. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held at Moreton’s Harbour United Church on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Moreton’s Harbour.
