Hill, CET,CD, Robin Andrew, 51, Hilden and formerly of Upper Musquodoboit passed away October 15, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Hamilton, Ontario he was a son of the late Joseph Walkem and Mary (Hunter) and step father, Peter Hill. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 24 years. His last rotation was served in 1994 – 1995 in Bosnia as a peacekeeper. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147, Upper Musquodoboit and TechNova. His last year was spent teaching electrical apprenticeship at NSCC IT Campus, Halifax. Robin was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. With his carefree and easy going personality, Robin made many friends. He is survived by his wife, Lola (Dickey); daughters, Cheryl Hill (Chris Lantz), Dutch Settlement; Angela (Rod) Deal, Upper Musquodoboit; Amy Hill, Elmsdale; grandchildren, Connor and Colton Deal, Upper Musquodoboit; sisters, Sandra Hill, Drayton Valley, Alberta; Eleanor (Tom) Mcilmoyle, Peterborough, Ontario; brothers, Peter Hill, Edmonton, Alberta; Joseph (Mary) Hill, Peterborough, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. No visitation by request. A celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 2:00 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Family flowers only.
