It is with deep regret that we, the family, announce the passing of Millie Creaser on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at the MacGillivary Guest Home.
Born in Louisbourg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Amelia (O’Keefe) Tucker.
Millie was a member of Stella Maris parish, Louisbourg and a C.W.L. member.
She was employed at National Sea Products for approximately 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a great cat lover.
After the death of their husbands, she and her sister, Ethel lived together for over 20 years.
Millie is survived by a sister, Betty (Tucker) Gallagher, Quebec; niece, Sheila Pearl, Louisbourg and nephew, Brian (Nikki) Gallagher, Quebec.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Garnet Creaser; sisters, Ethel (Tucker) Jessome, Helen (O’Toole) Pearl, Margaret (O’Toole) MacDonald and Joan (O’Toole) Campagna.
We wish to express a special thanks to all the home-care workers who helped Millie in the year prior to entering the guest home. We would also like to thank the staff of the MacGillivary Guest Home for their wonderful care and compassion while she was a resident.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, only from 2-4 p.m., at Stella Maris Church, Louisbourg.
Funeral mass will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at Stella Maris Church with Fr. Patrick O’Neil officiating. Interment to take place in Stella Maris Church Cemetery, Clarks Road. Reception to follow in church basement.
Donations in memory of Millie can be made to the Stella Maris Church Building Fund.
