It is with sadness the families of the late Wilmore “Raymond” Rowsell announce his passing on September 14, 2011 after a lengthy illness at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, aged 79 years. Raymond is predeceased by his first wife, Grace; parents, Pearce and Dulcie; sisters, Lovelett, Evelyn, and Doris; brother, Bramwell and William; Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife, Loretta; sons, Bruce (Holly) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Glen (Karen) of St. John’s, NL; daughter, Raeanne (Roy) of Bishop’s Falls, NL; step-daughters, Kathleen (Peter) of Sackville, NB, and Marlene Cooper of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; Step-son, Brad Cooper of St. John's, NL; also left to mourn are his siblings, Anne Wood, Vera Burt, Eric (Barbara) Rowsell, and Lillian (Jim) Skiffington; sister-in-law, Violet Rowsell; grandchildren, Gordon (Kerry) Rowsell, Amanda (Mike) Ballard, Jordan Faulkner, Nicholas Faulkner, Liam Gibbons and Kaitlyn Rowsell; great-granddaughter, Hannah Ballard; brothers-in-law, Arch (Helen) Morgan, Simon (Nita) Morgan, and Glen (Verley) Morgan; sister-in-law, Donna Morgan; and the extended Pond Family; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The visitation took place Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 7-9 pm, Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service took place Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 1 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. In lieu of flowers donations were made to “The Salvation Army Grand Falls Citadel Youth Band”. Pallbearers were Glen Rowsell, Bruce Rowsell, Nicholas Faulkner, Jordan Faulkner, Roy Faulkner, Franks Keats. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and other staff on the 3rd floor of the Central NL Regional Health Centre who cared for him with such compassion and dignity during his final days.
