It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, Theodore (Ted) W. Ivany, age 78, from Lower Lance Cove at the Health Sciences Complex, St. John's, on February 18, 2008. Predeceased by parents, Archibald and Maude Ivany and step-mother Doris Ivany. Leaving to mourn with many precious memories are his loving wife, Lizzie; children: Lester (Judy), Beulah (Wayne Winsor), Barbara (Bill Pearce), Daphne (Brian Ivany), Scott (Eunice), Barry and Derek (Denise); grandchildren: Mark, Paul, Suzanne, Ashley, Stephanie, Joshua, Ryan, Andrew, Hillary and Danielle; brother Oliver (Jean); sisters: Hilda (Aaron Morris), Iris (Allan Baker) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place from the United Church Britannia on February 22, 2008. Ted was laid to eternal rest at the United Church Cemetery, Britannia.
