It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alastair Donald Douglas MacLeod of Albany on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. Dearly beloved husband of Ferne Howatt and proud and adored father of his children; Danny (deceased), Cynthia (David), Imogene, Grant (Jo-Anne), Ronnalee (Murray), Clyde (deceased), Kent, Vernon (Tashia), Harleigh (Donna), and Carrie-Anne (Michael). His cherished 16 grandchildren, Daniel, Charlotte-Anne, Christine, Lindsay-Anne, Stacey-Lynn, Spencer, Hillary, Katelyn, Tanner, Danny V., Emmy-Mae, Abby, Carleigh, Mandy, Madison and Alexis, by his sister, Elizabeth Ramsay, twin brothers David and Douglas MacLeod and their families. By his personal wishes there will be private visiting hours and private funeral then he will be tenderly laid to rest next to his son Danny, a loss from which he never truly recovered. He will be warmly remembered and solely missed for his cheerfulness, generosity, quick wit and sense of humor. A friend to all. Alastair's joyous spirit will live in our hearts forever while God holds him in his keeping.
