Freda Lind passed away on September 21, 2011 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1924 on the farm home in the Newberry district. Freda attended public school in Baildon and completed her high school education at Central Collegiate and Academy of Our Lady of Sion in Moose Jaw. After graduating from grade twelve she attended Normal School and subsequently taught elementary school in the Central Butte area. Later in life, she took university courses and taught adult upgrading in Moose Jaw. She married her childhood sweetheart in 1946 and they moved to the farm in the Baildon district where she lived until they moved into Moose Jaw in 1986. Predeceased by her parents, Nick and Marjorie Swenson, she is survived by her husband of 65 years Lloyd; Daughter Linda (Allan Webster), Leanne (Jim Thorton) Jacob and Luke, Julie (Paul Sidlick) Elliot, Kevin (Michelle Richier); Daughter Marjorie (Bill Yakiwchuk), Steven (Erin), Krista (Michael Wallman), Jeff (Kristen Patzack) Zackery, Jenna (Rem Oddy); Son Jim (Charlene Lind) Shawn; Jade and Kaden, Joshua (Aletha Lind) Brayden and Lucas, Matthew (Shannon MacMillan); and brother Don Swenson (Dorothy). The Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery on Monday September 26, 2011 at 10:30 am with the Funeral Services to follow at Minto United Church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated. In living memory of Freda, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
