POWER, Robert Joseph– October 15, 1933 - October 15, 2009. Robert Power of Gander slipped quietly away with his wife Marion and family at his side on October 15, 2009. Predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Gladys Power and son Desmond Power (2008). Also predeceased by his parents, Edward and Jane Power and brother, Thomas Power. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his children, Ed (Dora) of Dartmouth, NS; Keith (Ellen) of Oshawa, ON; Karen (Bruce) Puddister of Perth, Australia; Kelly Power of Vancouver; and Tina (Danny) Purcell of Gander, NL; daughter-in-law Brenda Power, special brother Norman Power, brother Kevin, sisters Blanche, Lilith, Mary and Nora; grandchildren Stephanie, Catherine, Chloe, Nathan and Emelyn; and large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to family members Christine Penny, Junior Linehan, Albert & Eileen Linehan and Debbie Mead for the support and care they provided during Bob’s final days. Resting at Stacey’s Funeral Home Gander, on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Gander, followed by inurnment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander.
