HENNIGAR, Georgina Viola “Grammie” – 85, Valley, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2011, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born July 29, 1926, in Lower Economy, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude (Davis) Morrison. “Grammie” loved to travel near and far – trips around the world, camping trips and daily drives in the car. She loved doing puzzle books and enjoyed watching game shows. Above all, family was most important in her life and she was blessed to have her family around her at all times. Georgina is survived by her daughters, Diane Gorrill, River Hebert; Bonnie (Edward) Power, Truro; Lorraine Lynds (Dale Grant), Greenfield; Brenda (Hector) McCarthy, Valley; grandchildren, Kimberlee, Donna, Dale, Paul, Sherrie, Lisa, Amanda; great grandchildren, Aaron, Carly, Justin, Sarah, Allyson, Cole, Carter, Parker, Kaylee, Brandon, Emily, Jessica, Samantha, Ashley; sister, Hazel Carter, Ontario; sister-in-law, Pearlie Morrison, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Along with her mother, she was predeceased by her husband, John Bertrand Hennigar; grandson, Wayne Redmond; sister, Madeline (Wylie) McLellan; brothers, Edward, Wallace and Leo Morrison; son-in-law, Harold Gorrill. Special thanks are extended to the nursing staff at Colchester Regional Hospital for their exceptional care of “Grammie” and her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Georgina’s family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2011, and where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, Reverend Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in Crossroads Cemetery. Reception will follow. (location will be announced at the funeral service). Flowers or donations in Georgina’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
