September 5, 1991 - September 18, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Devin William Parsons announce his sudden passing on Sunday, September 18th, 2011 at the age of 20 years. Devin was predeceased by his grandfather Ralph Parsons; grandmother Effie Collier, and Uncle Melvin Parsons. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, his parents: John "Jackie" and Elizabeth; brother Kevin; sisters, Savannah and Haley; girlfriend Jenna Munden; grandfather Chesley Collier; grandmother Ada Parsons; aunts, Kathy (Ben) Edmunds and Rosanna (Corey) Herritt; uncles, Roy (Winnie) Parsons, Alex (Lisa) Parsons, Mark (Vanessa) Parsons, and Freeman Collier, as well as a large circle of cousins, family and friends. Devin was a caring and sweet young man who always had a smile and a helping hand for everyone. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Visitation took place at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church in Rose Blanche, from where the Funeral Service took place on Sept. 24th at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques.
