Mom passed away suddenly two days before her 84th birthday. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All who were blessed by mother's loving and caring ways will miss her dearly. She had a zest for living. A sign hung on her door that said "A Wild, Wacky, Wonderful Woman Lives Here", that was mom.

Eileen was predeceased by her son Richard.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ingmar, daughter Diana (Connie), granddaughters Tami-Lynn (Steve), Abbey-Lee, daughter-in-law Dierdre, great grandson Ryley, siblings Bill (Louise) and Phyllis, sister-in-law Edith, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mom was grateful for the loving support of her dear friends Gerry, Teresa, Linda, Frank, Margaret, Olga, Isabelle, Liz and Carol.

Prayers will be recited in Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola St. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Viewing to follow.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception at 3:30 p.m. at the Colombo Lodge, 814 Lorne St.

Should friends desire, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation in memory of Eileen Christianson would be appreciated.
