Holly Marie (nee Ivany) Evans, age 37, of Swift Current, SK, passed away September 21, 2011 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. The Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday September 30, 2011 from St. Stephens Anglican Church, Swift Current, SK, with Reverend Jonathan Hoskin officiating. The organist was Gloria Robinson accompanied by the St. Stephens Anglican Choir. A Life Tribute was presented by Sonya Tarbett. Scripture Reader was Kevin Harris. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in Holly's life. Holly was born in Labrador City on December 21, 1973. She attended school and grew up in Corner Brook, NL. Following this she worked at Plainsman Manufacturing in Edmonton, Alberta where she met her husband Shawn Evans. The couple was married in July of 2005. They moved from Chetwynd, B.C. to Sherwood Park, A.B. before finally settling in Swift Current. Holly worked at Evans Brothers Home Hardware doing book keeping, human resources, and being the companies overall morale leader. She was active with the Swift Current Children's Day Care Centre, acting as president. In her spare time Holly enjoyed camping with her family, organizing special family events such as birthdays, anniversaries, and special days throughout the year. She made sure family knew about the event and that they all showed up for the occasion. Holly especially loved to entertain family and friends. She was a true people person and had the spirit to bring out the best in those around her. Holly was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was outgoing and thoughtful to all those around her and always tried to help people anyway she could. She always seemed to see the good in people. Holly is survived by her parents Austin and Linda Ivany; her husband Shawn Evans and their sons Brady and Carter; her brother Scott (Angelique) Ivany and their children Abigale and Austin; mother and father in-law Parry and Evelyn Evans; brothers and sisters in-law; Travis (Candice) Evans, Melanie (Laren) Cruise, Mindy (Brad) Zolinski, and Quentin Evans along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Mary and George Ivany and Marie and Edmund Walsh. She will be greatly and sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
