GODDARD, BARBARA - With saddened hearts the family of Barbara Joan (Davidson) Goddard, of the Admiral Beatty Complex, loving wife of the late James Kenneth Goddard, announce her passing on September 30 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on March 16, 1937 she was a daughter of the late Morris F. and Edith L. (Welch) Davidson. Barbara is survived by her loving children James Goddard, John Lanigan (Kelly), Paul Lanigan (Kim), Cindy Winchester (Robert), Brenda Collings (Jim), Rita Cousins (Brian), Gloria Lambert (Wayne), and Karen Beairsto, brothers James Davidson, Alfred Davidson, sisters Nancy Kingston; sisters-in-law Helen and Edna Davidson, thirteen cherished grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and close friends Valerie McKnight and Nancy Russell. Besides her parents and loving husband James of fifty years, she was predeceased by a daughter Tammy Lynn Goddard, brothers Donald, Johnny, George and Bobby Davidson and sister Gloria Saunders. Barbara enjoyed cooking and was a member of T.O.P.S. She was an avid shopper and will be fondly remembered for her shopping and gift giving, and trips to Halifax to her brother Donald's home. In her earlier years she was highly involved with the C.F. Foundation. Mom you will always be remembered by your loving family.
Following cremation visiting hours will be on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm. from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Interment to take place in Fernhill Cemetery following the service.
