RICKERT, Florence (Floss) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge on Tuesday, December 8, 2008, Florence Rickert, aged 99 years. Predeceased by husband: Frank; daughter Loretta Linthorne; sisters Mildred, Gladys, Alice and Violet; brothers Harold and Angus; sons-in-law Jim Linthorne and Roy Penney and daughter-in-law Florence. She will be sadly missed by daughters Joan Penney, Geraldine DeRose (Lanny Bedell) of U.S.A., Irene Murphy (George); sons Doug, Fred (Hazel), Angus (Helen) of N.B. and David (Dianne); twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Winsor, as well as many other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the staff of the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home where mom spent the last fourteen and half years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 10-12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
