Joyce Tobin passed away suddenly and peacefully at the Western memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday October 1, 2011 at the age of 80 years. She will be sadly missed by her family of 5 daughters and 3 sons and extended family of 2 daughters and 1 son; Glen Abbott (Loretta), Janice Marshall (Chris), Curt Abbott (Ellen), Chris Abbott (Marla), Joanne Abbott (Byron), Julie Sheppard (Dave), Jeanne Colbourne (Steve), Suzanne Abbott (Mark), Joann Scott (Craig), Jim Tobin (Jane), Debbie Payne (Calvin), and daughter in law Beatrice Tobin, brothers Winse, Frank, Stanley, Walter, sisters Annie, Myrtle, Pearl, Pheobe, 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Corner Brook, Baytona, and Birchy Bay.. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Tobin and step son Ward Tobin. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 2 P.M. from where a funeral service will take place at 4 P.M. with Major Frank Johnson officiating. Interment to take place at Baytona. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society.
