Walter Ring of Kamloops, BC passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the age of 91 years.

Walter was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Ida.

He is survived by his children: Carol Gregg, Donna (Hal) Ebbels, Lynn (Dick) Armstrong, Garth (Sue) Ring and Gwen (Darrell) Falk, eight grandchildren: Angela, Andrea, Jeff, Tannis, Rob, Taylor, Nicola and Kean, five great grandchildren: Aydin, Lauren, Gracie, Avery and Sophia.

Walter was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born in Southey, Saskatchewan to George and Margaretha Ring and was the second eldest of five children.

A Celebration of Walter’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Hills of Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Brian Krushel officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in Walter’s memory may be made to the Memorial Fund at Hills of Peace Lutheran Church at 695 Robson Drive, Kamloops, BC V2E 2B4 or to the Kamloops YM / YWCA, at 400 Battle Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2L7 where Walter was a member for over 50 years.
