Passed away peacefully at his home in Burlington, on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at the age of 85.
Loving husband of Doris for 52 years. Dear father of Helen and her husband Dave Kennedy, John and his wife Gail, Carol and her husband Mike Reidl, and Lynn and her husband Dave Timbs. Cherished grandfather of Lauren and Ashley. Will be dearly missed by all of his nieces and nephews in P.E.I. Ed was a longtime employee of Stelco.
Visitation at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, from 12 p.m., until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Private family interment.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
