Anne Swanton late of Prince Albert, SK passed away at Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Anne was born on December 6, 1914 at Rossburn, Manitoba. After attending school at Rossburn she worked as a cake decorator at a bakery in Winnipeg. Anne moved to Prince Albert and married Wilfred in 1966 and worked as a home care provider. She and Wilfred spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona. Anne is survived by sisters-in-law Kathleen Gray and Lillian Swanton as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Nellie Bidochka; her first husband Harold Staffard and late husband Wilfred Swanton in 2006. Following cremation, interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Winnipeg. It is the family’s request that donations be made to CNIB or charity of donor’s choice.
