Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, with the love and support of his loving wife and family, of Earl Joseph LeClair, beloved husband to Gloria (nee Doucette) LeClair of 10 Doucette Rd., Tignish, aged 72 years. Born on Sept. 20, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (nee Gaudet) LeClair. Loving father to Larry (Jane) of Burritts Rapids, Ont.; Lesa (Shawn) Handrahan of Tignish; Lois (Kenny) McRae of Tignish; Leanna (Shawn) A’Hearn of Tignish. Cherished grandfather to Jenny Neveu, Erin and Carrie LeClair, Slade, Trace, Silas and Gracyn Handrahan, Connor, Emily and Bailey McRae, Clay and Jeannie A’Hearn. Great-grandfather to Izabel Neveu. Dear brother to Alyre (Louise) of Tignish; Thelma (late Alfred) McInnis of Tignish; Roy (Judy) of Tignish; Yvonne (late Ray) Rennie of Worcester, Mass.; Gerry (Blanche) of Sydney Cape Breton, N.S.; and Marie Harredan of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Brother-in-law to Doreen (Leonard) Handrahan of Tignish, and Marie (Clarence) Gaudet of St. Catherines, Ont. He was predeceased by his son Lyman, brother Aubin, twin sisters Lorette and Rita in infancy. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Alderic and Annie Doucette. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral on Thursday, Oct. 6, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant celebrant. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. If so desired memorials to the P.E.I. Kidney Foundation or to St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciated.
