The family of Eli Hunt are saddened to announce that their father passed away at the Lakeside Homes in Gander on October 19, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He was 87 years old. He is predeceased by his wife, Myrtle; son, Robert; grandson, Noel; four sisters: Jane, Josephine, Elizabeth, and Annie; five brothers: Wilfred, James, Israel, Charles, and Manuel. Eli left with fond memories two daughters and two sons: Linda (Raymond) Goulding, Tony (June), Wilson (Alice) and Bernice (Ralph) Pritchett; his sister, Mary Brown; and life-long friend, Lionel Wicks. Eli was also a loving grandfather to Rhonda, Genine, Koren, April, Michael, Becky, Sherri Lynn, Charles, Erin, Ashley, Stephanie, and Riley and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pritchett's Funeral Home in Gambo. Funeral services will be held at Emanuel United Church, Gambo on Wednesday, October 21, at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery. No flowers by request.
