Evangeline Lee, 75, formerly of Glace Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel Thomas Lee.
Born in Ingonish, she was the daughter of the late Mary Louise (MacLean) and James Hardy.
Evangeline enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Ferne Lee Rivard (Bob), Ottawa, Ont., Lionel Lee, Edmonton, Alta., Shauna Lee Rowsell (Chuck), Kingston, Ont. and Billy Lee, Sydney. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Neila (Erville) Stubbard, Britney Rowsell, Kelsey Rowsell, Kyle Beeking and great-grandchildren, Josh, Joey and Jared.
Visitation for Evangeline will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay with funeral service to be held at 10 a.m., Friday in Patten Chapel. Interment will be in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Ingonish.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
