Passed peacefully away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at the Bonavista Hospital on September 24, 2011, Douglas Sweetland of Bonavista, aged 61 years. Predeceased by parents, Arthur and Dorothy. Left with loving memories, his wife, June, of 39 years; daughter, Angela (Glen) Lewis; son, Bronson; sisters-in-law, Brenda Joy and Alexine Taylor; brothers-in-law, Lorne (Jeanette) Lodge and Bronson (Sherry) Lodge; aunt, Maude Ryan; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a very large circle of friends. Rested at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Bonavista. Funeral service took place on September 28, 2011 at Anglican Christ Church, Bonavista, with internment following at the Anglican Cemetary.
