We regret to announce the passing of Ainsley Danielle Donovan, 16, of Ingonish Beach on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011.
She was born in Sydney, March 24, 1995. She was a member of St. Peter’s parish, Ingonish. She was a grade 11 student at Cabot High School in Neils Harbour. She was an avid basketball and soccer player, and she loved to ski at Cape Smokey.
Ainsley will be sadly missed by her mother, Amanda Donovan; stepfather, Michael Barron; sister, Peyton Barron; brother, Grayson Barron and her extended family, Marjorie MacKinnon; sister, Chloe MacKinnon; father, Frank LaRusic and her brother, Tyler. Also left to mourn are her grandparents, Winston Donovan (Audrey Donovan, step-grandmother), Rosemary LaRusic, John LaRusic and great-grandparents, Marge Doucette, Beatrice Donovan and Max Royal and her list of friends, which would be pages upon pages long.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Leigh Donovan and her great-grandfather, Leroy Doucette.
Anybody who knew Ainsley knows she was quick and abrupt and to the point. If you didn’t like it, lump it.
Visitation for Ainsley Donovan will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, in St. Peter’s Glebe House, Ingonish, from 6-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish, with Fr. Dan MacDonald officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
