Johannes Gustav Wilhelm Schultz of Moose Jaw, passed away on October 4, 2011 due to several complications, including a stroke. He was born in Ludwigsruh, Germany on July 19, 1929, to Karl Wilhelm Schultz and Anna Eda Berta Goldbach Schultz. During his teenage years he survived World War II, and was able to pursue six years of education, graduating as a professional waiter and chef. He worked in Germany and received a promotion to work in France. He then moved back to Germany to help run his parents trucking business. On June 6, 1966 he married Anna, and together they purchased a hotel in the Bavarian Alps in Austria, then in Kierwang, Germany. They moved to Canada in 1978, where they owned a restaurant and catering business, and farmed. He will always be loved and remembered, and greatly missed by his family: wife Anna and children Andrew (Janice), Anette (Brian), and Christina; grandchildren: Ethan and Rachel; sister Gundel Stachel of Germany; brothers Arnold Schultz, Helmut Schultz and Karl Schultz. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Konrad Schultz who died during the War. The Celebration of Johannes' life will be held at the Church of God, Saturday October 8, 2011 at 11:00 am. Pastor Larry Hasmatali will officiate. Private interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sask.
