MINER, CHESTER ALEXANDER - The passing of Chester Alexander Miner of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his home. He was 91. Born in Doaktown NB and a son of the late Chester Herbert and Minnie May (Munn) Miner, he was a Heavy Equipment operator for over 35 years, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 and served in WWII with the eighth Canadian Hussar’s. Survived by his wife Laura Blanche (Peterson) Miner, his children Carol Stratton (Howard) of Nova Scotia, Annette Crawford (Ray) of Florida USA, Leslie Miner (Judy) of Harvey NB, George Miner (Monni) of Yoho Lake NB, Brenda Silliker (Lee) of Alberta, Ruth Waterhouse (Burt) of Fredericton, Norma VanWart (Jack) also of Fredericton, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, where visitation will take place on Friday, October 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 8th at 2 PM from the Sunset Church 429 Clements Drive in Douglas with Rev. Richard Bragdon officiating.
