McCOY, CHARLES - The death of Charles Thomas McCoy of Douglas Harbour occurred Wednesday, October 05, 2011 at his home. Born in Clarks Corner, NB he was the son of the late Raymond and Birde (Denton) McCoy. Charlie worked for Combustion Engineering in Montreal from 1950 to 1958 then returned home and went into Lumbering and trucking until retirement. He was a member of the Orange Lodge and enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Survived by his loving wife Freda (Colwell) McCoy; a son, Carman McCoy (Bonnie) of Douglas Harbour, NB; a daughter, Elaine McCoy of Minto, NB; daughter in law, Patricia McCoy of Clarks Corner, NB; grandsons, Todd (Kim) of Minto, Timmy (Jennifer) of Clarks Corner, NB and Craig (Heather) of Douglas Harbour; four great grandchildren, Josh, Tanner, Matthew and Beth; nephews Reg McCoy (Mary) and Darrell Jarvis (Lynn). In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by sons, Eldon and Donnie; sisters, Thelma Jarvis and Phillis Stephenson.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Friday evening from 6 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 8th, 2011 from the Scotchtown United Church. Interment will take place in the Scotchtown Cemetery.
