Leaving to mourn wife Barbara (nee Quinton); brother Hollis, St. John’s; sister Marjorie Swain, Happy Valley-Goose Bay; nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Retired civil servant (Dept. of Forestry), 51 year member of the Masonic Order and Past Master Clarenville Lodge, Past President Clarenville Shrine Club, Past Grand Junior Deacon, Masonic Grand Lodge of Newfoundland, Past Noble Grand and Past District Deputy President of Caribou Lodge #148 of the Independent Order of Oddfellows and former member of Canadian Rangers. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 from Memorial United Church, Clarenville. No flowers by request.
