Reina Mary Rushton
RUSHTON (KING), REINA MARY - The death of Reina Mary Rushton of Saint John occurred unexpectedly at home on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Born May 1942 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Henry and Aurore (Richard) King. Reina worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph's Hospital for 23 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her daily Tim Horton's Coffee and scratch tickets. She is survived by her son Stanley Rushton (Ute) of Ontario; daughters Brenda Rushton of Scoudouc, Faye Maillet of Moncton, Dianne Nuttall (Blair) of Nova Scotia and Judy Hache of Lakeville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Reg King (Fran) of Kingston, Rheal King (Becky) of Mass; sisters Bernice King of Saint John, Hermance McCluskey (Leonard) of Miramichi, Carm Parker of Browns Flat and Dianne Walton (Alphonse) of Kingston; special companion of 14 years Leo Guitard of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by sisters Ronalda Wyman and Delores Melnyk and brothers-in-law Ron Parker, Bud Wyman and Melvin Melnyk.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). By request there will be no visitations. Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be held from Stella Maris Catholic Church, 201 Bayside Drive on Wednesday, October 12 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
