SATLSPRINGS - William Allison “Bill” Halliday, 59, of Brookland Road, Salt Springs, passed suddenly on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Cecil and Mary (Jackson) Halliday. Bill as a boy, grew up in Westville. He was a heavy machine operator working with Warren Maritimes Ltd. for over 25 years. He was a quiet and reserved person, enjoying being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years Susan (Cyr); children, James “Jay” (Yvonne), Westville; Bill “B.J.”, British Columbia; Stephenie, Middle River; Michelle (Jamie Bannister), Union Centre; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Allie (Marg), Westville; John (Gloria), Stellarton; Rick (Barb), Central West River; sisters, Diane Rehill (Reg), Westville; Dawn Matheson, Abercrombie; Shelly Clyburn (Doug), Westville.
Cremation has taken place. His family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service will be held 1 o’clock Thursday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with the Archdeacon Peter Armstrong officiating. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
