Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Thora Hann aged 78 years. Predeceased by parents Leeland and Elsie Wareham of Harbour Buffett, Placentia Bay; sister Hilda Pafford. Leaving to mourn husband Jack; sons Robert (Lori) Pixton, of California and Leeland Pixton, of Salt Lake City; daughter Pamala Pixton of California; grandchildren Brittney Pixton, Joel Pixton and Jacob Pixton; step-sons Dave Hann, Curtis Hann and Jeffrey Hann; brothers Percy (Alice), Alfred (Elizabeth), Wilfred (Mary Jane – deceased), Baxter (Muriel) and Roy (Rowena); special cousin and friend Ivey Owens, of Salt Lake City; sisters-in-law Annie, Molly, Anita, Triffie (Jack), Rita (Blake) and Bernie (Stan); brothers-in-law Fr. Michael and Ken (Ann-Marie), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held at Church of Ascension on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
