YORKE, Norma A. – 84, of Parrsboro, Cumberland Co. passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Harris and Gladys (Smythe) Yorke. She is survived by daughters, Alice Woodington (David), Kensington, PEI; Bertha Kinnear (Delbert), West Brook; a son, Donald (Lillian), Charlottetown, PEI; a sister, Lois Greeno, Brooklyn; a brother, Lewis (Eloise), Parrsboro; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Morton Pettigrew; second husband, Kenneth Yorke; a daughter, Sarah in infancy; sisters, Hazel, Dorothy, Ethelyn, Florence; brothers, Cyril, Laurie, Allan. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today [Saturday, October 17, 2009] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday [October 18, 2009], Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
