Mrs. Hazel “Ruth” Hodgson was born on September 26, 1920 in Saskatoon, SK and passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 91. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14 from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Birch Hills. Father Chris Harper will officiate. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Elsie (Ernie) Fast and their children Jennifer MacGillivray (Rob Gordon), Cory MacGillivary (Amanda Tournier); her son Larry (Julie) and their children Heather (Lonnie Viden), Jocelyne (Ty Prosofsky), Steven; her son Stan (Louise) and their children Jeffrey (Jennie Stone), Tammy (Jason Gillis), Tracy (Curtis Henderson), Hayley (Todd Merrell); her son Herb (Paulette) and their children Tom (Jessica), Holly (Larry Bocian), Wes (Tamarah); her daughter-in-law Nancy and her children Matthew, Christopher (Autumn), Shawn, Ryan; her brother Robert Tilford; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband John; her son John Jr.; her parents Arthur and Esther Tilford; her siblings May Spani, Elsie (Bob Lund), Verna, Eugene (Julia), Ben (May), Frank (Laura), Barbara (Bert Storvold), Wallace; her parents-in-law; her brother-in-law Charlie (Margaret Hodgson). Interment of cremated remains will take place in the St. Saviour’s Cemetery near Birch Hills, SK. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the St. Mary’s Anglican Church. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
