PLYMOUTH – Evelyn May Reid, 84, Plymouth, formerly of Sydney, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Mary Myrtle (Matthews) Little.
She had been employed with the former MT&T as a supervisor in Sydney and as an operator in New Glasgow for many years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Surviving are her son, Kim (Cathy) Reid, Plymouth; step-granddaughter, Bonnie Davidson and her daughter, Michayla, Stellarton; several nieces and nephews; chosen nephew, Charles “Butch” Denty.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Leslie Reid; sisters, Bessie “Bess” Planetta and Louise Denty; brother, Ronald Little and a brother in infancy.
A public graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, George Street, Sydney with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
