LORNA PAULSEN
June 3, 1947 – October 21, 2009
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend. Lorna was born in Prince Albert, SK and lived here all of her life, though her love of travel took her to many places. She began her lifelong passion for teaching in 1966. Throughout her career, she touched the lives of her students and colleagues with genuine kindness and caring. Always a lady, Lorna put others before herself both professionally and personally. She was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Katelin, 21 years ago. Lorna is survived by her loving family: her daughter Katelin (Greg Parenteau); mother Edna Paulsen; sister Barbara (Gary) Bustin and son Mark; sister Sonia (Neil) Herndier and children Erika, Scott, Christy and Allison as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Pete Paulsen and brother Aksel Paulsen. She will be missed by all. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend David Smith will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Christus, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
