Patrick Young

Patrick passed away peacefully at his residence.
Born in Sydney he is the youngest son of Professor James and Constance (Boutilier) Young.
Patrick was a graduate of Sydney Academy and The Nova Scotia Community College where he received his “Red Seal Chef Certification”. Patrick specialized in cuisine and catering. His outstanding talents were constantly in demand by the oil companies in western Canada and the far north.
Patrick was an avid outdoorsman. He spent his youthful summers swimming, fishing and boating along the Bras d’Or Lakes. And he was extremely fond of animals.
Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters Maureen and Eileen; two brothers James (Gwen) and Kenneth.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family mass will be celebrated for Patrick. Reverend Dr. Albert Maroun officiating.
A celebration mass of Patrick’s life will take place at a later date.
