Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, Dexter Boone, age 80 years of Paradise (formerly of Point of Bay and Botwood). Predeceased by his much loved son Jim (Oct. 15, 2009), parents Arch and Stella Boone, mother and father-in-law Beatrice and Carl Edison, sisters Clarabelle Boone, Phyllis Simmons (Bob) and Nina Aitkin (John), brothers Ambrose and Overton and brother-in-law Max Edison. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years Shirley; daughter Marilyn (Bruce Tilley), sons Brian (Marilyn Masiker) and Greg; daughter-in-law Carol; grandchildren Rebecca and Jackson Tilley, Jeremy (Alexis) and Alex Boone and sister Lorraine (Garfield Collins). Also left with fond and loving memories are his brother-in-law Carl Edison, sisters-in-law Bertha Gardner, Daphne Dowden, Doris Best, Yvonne Brazil (Gerald), Pat Coles (Rod), Phronie Lush (Cec), Chloe French (Dave), Linda Keays (Jim Walsh) as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service from Caul’s Chapel on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
