The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 of Delia Perry of Maplewood Manor and formerly of Leoville aged 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Edmond Perry. She was born in Peterville on March 6, 1913, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Doucette. Dear mother of Ivan (Annette) Perry, Leoville, Eunice (Edgar) Gaudet, Tignish, Addie Dugay, St. Edward, Edward (Madeline) Perry, Leoville, Edith (Ben) Gaudet, Tignish and Myrna (Leo) Perry, St. Felix. Loving grandmother to 33 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Meddie Doucette, Peterville and a sister-in-law Mary Doucette, Tignish as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edmond, daughter Eva, grandson Darryl, two infants at birth, sons-in-law Joe Dugay and Nelson Arsenault, sisters Catherine, Melda, Alice Susan, brothers Edward, Joseph, Henry and Frederick, brothers-in-law Willie Downey, Joe Perry, Ralph Martin, Frederick Boulague, sisters-in-law Beatrice and Marie Doucette. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd. for visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
