Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Sunday, October 16, 2011 Winnie Winsor age 89 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by her parents Eli and Emma Stokes; husband Peter; sons Lorne, Reuben and Robert; daughters Irene and Shirley; son-in-law Barry Knee. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Belah (Sarah) of St. Thomas, ON., Peter(Daphne) of Pool’s Island and Jimmy(Mary) of St. John’s; daughters Beatrice Knee of Wesleyville, Triffie (Cyril Janes) of St. John’s, Josephine(Garfield Burry) of Greenspond and Beverley(Andy King) of Pool’s Island; sisters Pearl Stagg of St. John’s, Lillian Clarke of St. John’s and Effie Burry of Medicine Hat, AB.; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law Betty Mullett of St. John’s, Sheila Winsor of Guelph, ON. and Jane Winsor of Wesleyville; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at The Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes--Valley on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with Lieutenants Brent and Melissa Haas officiating.
