It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecilia Whalen announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, David (Joanne) Whalen of Stephenville, three daughters: Geraldine Felix of Stephenville, Sandra (Jerome) Jesso of Labrador, Corina Whalen of Ontario, two bothers: Donald King, Phonse King and five sisters: Margaret, Venetia, Stella, Beatrice, Mercy and a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Whalen, daughters, Emily King and Melita Whalen. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Church in Heatherton. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, October 20th at 10:30 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Church in Heatherton with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Heatherton.
