Loomer, H. Gordon — 80, of Falmouth, Hants County, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on June 26, 1931, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Cloyda (Neaves) Loomer. Gordon is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Hood) Loomer; daughters, Kim Loomer, Three Mile Plains; Gail O’Leary (Harold MacKenzie), Falmouth; Dawn (Archie) Black, Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren, Jade (Devin) Johnson, Troy Lang, Tristan O’Leary, and Jeslyn O’Leary; sisters, Hope Fraser, Wolfville; Jocelyn (Herb) Krugger, Kitchener, Ontario; brother, Bruce (Judy) Loomer, Truro; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. There was no visitation by request. Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Craig Faulkner officiated, followed by interment in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. Flowers were greatly appreciated.
