OTHBERG, EDITH - Edith Maria Josefa Othberg of Monteagle, NB passed away October 18, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital in her 87th year. Born in Birgden Germany, she emigrated to Canada with her husband in the late sixties. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farm. Edith is survived and missed by her children Bernhard (Luise) of Germany, Hermann (Debby) of Monteagle, Fritz (Sandra) Head of Millstream, Rosemarie George (Ian) of Saint John and Maianne Setchell of Monteagle, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by her husband Friedrich (1994), brother Theodore and sister Marianne.
By request there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be at Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:30pm with Pastor Jarvis Lepper officiating. Interment will be at Loyalist Cemetery Havelock. If desired, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the IWK Children's Hospital would be appreciated by her family.
