Mary Ann (Currie) MacLean, 98 years, passed away peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown, P.E.I., on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011.
Born June 23, 1913, at McAdams Lake, Cape Breton. She was the wife of the late John Joseph MacLean ‘Big Jack’; beloved mother of Joe (Joan), P.E.I., Dougie (Kathleen), Sydney, Michael (Leona), Mira, Ann (Norman) Atwell, N.B., Bernie (Annette), Ontario, Donald (Ruthie), N.B.; Mary, New Brunswick, Catherine, P.E.I. Also survived by her sister, Lucy MacKenzie of Cape Breton and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Dougal and Catherine (MacIntyre) Currie, brothers and sisters, Johnny, Jane and Donald Currie, Kaye (Billy) MacCuish, Christie (Mickey) MacCuish.
Visitation for Mary Ann MacLean will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment at Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
